Wes Anderson has inspired many creators.

There is something magical about the distinct visual language  that frames up each image or larger adventure narrative. Over the course of 10 films and counting, Wes has honed in on a distinct visual aesthetic that is both undeniably beautiful and deserving of adulation. Each frame of his films stands alone, resulting in a collection of delightful gems.

I love to take one a different “lenses” for a day to go through the daily chores and tasks as if I was in a world created by certain director, painter, writer or visual artist of any other means.

Fascinated by a daily magic and symmethry here is few examples from my favourite tool of registering daily life and my travels – the iphone. Yes, an iphone- a tiny device that I like to call a camera with a call function. It helps me take this snippets of reality, a memories and doors to the stories that my brain has created after seeing certain scene.

But it appears I am not the only one playing this game of lens switching.

There is a website called Accidental Wes Anderson – or AWA.

AWA has built upon Wes’ imaginative scenes and seeks out their real-life counterparts around the globe. We are forever indebted to Wes for opening our eyes to the beauty that surrounds us. Sometimes all we need to do is “reframe the perspective”.

AWA was created by a Brooklyn-based husband and wife team of Wally & Amanda. What started as a personal project quickly developed into a wide-reaching resource, providing inspiration for travelers & creatives from around the world.

The AWA has now published a book of photographs that they created and collected that takes readers on a journey through  idiosyncratic places on Earth. Inspired by the unique vision of director Wes Anderson’s films. It travels to every continent to tell the extraordinary and unexpected true stories behind more than two hundred stunning locations.

I also found this creator-  it is less accidental Wes Anderson, but it shows beautifully a “going through a day with Wes Anderson lens on”
